Acid Fest is the first hard rock & psychedelic festival in Rome since the 70's. I gladly produced all the artistic support for this first edition which hosts Hawkwind as headliners. Cogitatio Sonitus means "Meaning & Sound" and the image is inspired by a Paracelsus excerpt: over the vacuity of humanity (the weapons, flags and treasures) stands the virtue (the cubic stone) and over both, leaving the ground, stands the virtue shaped by the arts and culture (the eyed polyhedron), the solid stone of the virtue shaped by the vision of the imagination.

Scandinavian bands Brutus and The Graviators put their efforts in this 10"Split record for Transubstans Records.

The drawing takes its theme from the song titles of the bands on the record, respectively "Brutus is an Hellhound" and "Druid's Ritual" and takes its iconography in pre-christianity imagery.

In ancient Rome, way before lions, boars were considered the symbol of untamed Strength. The the drawing's two headed-theme (in boars hads and Janus colossal head) represents the twinned tour and split record Danava and Lecherous Gaze are having together on Kemado Records, the strength of boars epitomizes their musical strenght indeed.

For the "I 400 Calci: combat-cinema magazine" Christmas'gift, 12 illustrators re-thinked 12 movie posters from genre flicks they love.

I went with 1972 Micheal Crichton's "Westworld". Download them: they are printable hi-res A3 posters.

Artwork for the italian rock band Bud Spencer Blues Explosion new record's tour "Do It". The character is inspired by the person of Willie King and is a more contemporary version of the classic "the devil and the bluesman" archetype.

Artwork for the swedish rockers Graveyard's 2011 tour, tour supporting their new record "Hisingen Blues" on Nuclear Blast Records.

They asked something weirdly New Orleans' voodoo-ish and so, here it is. An homage to Rick Griffin's work is intended as well.

After working out together the "Groove Discovering" idea for their T-Shirt, the payoff became a concept for the whole Deepsession Records label visuals, so i gladly found myself doing a monthly illustration for their releases which explores this old fashioned sci-fi world. Everything is an homage to 70's Sci-Fi magazines and progressive rock covers by authors like P. Druillet, C. Foss, S. Thorgeson, K.Thole and R. Dean. The layout idea is taken from the classic monthly italian Sci-Fi Urania books. This series is still ongoing so check here monthlòy to see it growing.

Inspired by one of my favourite classic Dungeons & Dragons monsters, the Owlbear, here's my second deck for Warriors Skateboards.

I just added some native american symbolgy to the beast, as well as placing it in a Northern-American forest, with the intent of make it a living totem of wildlife.

For Carhartt's "This is my Store" campaign I'm doing 8 illustrations and logo. Each panel is the portrait of a lion carved in one of the monuments of the city which hosts each of the 8 events. The Lion is a symbol of pride, the pride of those who claim their own store of reference. The work carried out exclusively for the Carhartt tour will be collected in an original exhibition in Summer 2011

I did the cover for the last record of italian jazz-rockers Quintorigo entitled English Garden. It is released by Edel and hosts guest vocals from Juliette Lewis, it features also the new singer, my friend Luca Sapio from the blues combo The Black Friday. They chose an object with a personal meaning each and i placed them in a surrealistic garden context, without asking what they represent. I've been inspired by the 70's record covers of many progressive and psychedelic acts of that age.

A little poster i did for a a summer musical weekly happening, it's an humble homage to Rick Griffin's type, style and humor.

"Iconologia" took place at Profile Expo in Piazza di Spagna, Roma, and focused on the omonimous book by Cesare Ripa printed in 1603. Scarful and I chose 3 subjects each and drew them, then we inked each other's drawings. We placed the images around a wooden pyramid which contains a burnt octagonal totem encarved with the siymbols of the 6 figures and our two:the moon and the drop. After reviewing the event, Vice Magazine asked us to publish a soundtrack for it.

Teeth are symbols of vital force and fecondity, the power of life. The decay of this is the concept for this artwork for the dutch band Gewapend Beton.

The Black Friday is a roman awesome acoustic Root Blues duo. I did this poster for their 2010 Winter tour and depicts the Robert Johnson-esque crossroad Devil's pact, which is the most classic myth in blues-mythology and one of the coolest myths in music ever.

The guys at Deep Session asked me an artwork about classic sci-fi from the 70's, so this work homages C. Foss, K. Thole and the monolith from Led Zeppelin's record cover in "Presence"

Artwork for the 2010 National Skateboarding Championship entitled "Skateboard Society". It's composed of two posters, one for each session of the championship. Framed togethere they form a battle between Good and Evil.

Heavyness' all-star band Shrinebuilder launched a contest for their 2010 European Tour, too bad it has been deleted. By the way this was my entry for it.

My third artwork for Lobster Apparel is a tribute to VCJ highly detaild graphics for Powell Peralta.

It's featured on a very Powell zipped hoodie with big print on the back and small logo, also done by me, on the front pocket area just like the ones i used to wear as a kid.

It's a goat ivory-engraved sailor's pipe and in the background there's the quiet of the norwegian fjords.

They asked me an artowrk of just sideral space without no life forms and I was very glad of this request.

A board design for Warriors Skateboards, it is part of a five-series on mythological monsters each one from a different artist.
I choose the cyclop and I've tried to capture the Ray Harryhausen's old epic stop motion movies' feeling.

I did this artwork for the Nebula's interview on Salad Days magazine.

They're an old time favourite of mine and really great guys too. The satellite idea came from their "Heavy Psych" record cover.

"The Future Of The Past" is the name of my first personal exhibition. It took place in Milan, endorsed by Bastard Clothing, this is the poster for it and it is a mix of many things that represent me all in one image.

The focus of the exhibition, from which the title came from, is to bring some of the past and forgotten imagery I love so much to a new life nowaday as a respectful re-interpretaion of my many myths.
